Meet Rick Fingerman

 Rick Fingerman is a Certified Financial Planner(TM) professional who has   been helping individuals and business owners with strategic solutions to their estate, business and personal financial planning needs since 1989.

Rick works with each client to look at their total picture, help identify their life goals, and develop a financial plan to accomplish their dreams and align with their personal values. With a reputation for putting her clients’ needs first, he has built a solid base of loyal and satisfied clients. As a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ Practitioner, Rick adheres to the highest ethics and commitments to professionalism.

Rick specializes in the areas of Retirement Planning, Estate Planning, Medicaid/Long Term Care Planning, Transition Planning, Divorce and Investments. His main objective is to not make someone rich overnight but rather to help one from potentially running out of money. Retirement income and asset protection are two areas that many are concerned with these days. Rick works with his clients to prepare a custom plan that takes into consideration their short term and long term goals, needs and desires. This overview becomes the basis for an ongoing relationship to help clients stay on track and keep them abreast of changing Tax laws, Medicaid laws or other Financial changes in their lives.

Rick attended the New York Institute of Finance and Boston University where he was enrolled in the CFP program and was awarded a Diploma in Financial Planning. Rick holds the designation of Certified Financial Planner(tm) and the designation of Certified Fund Specialist(tm) from the Institute of Business and Finance. Rick is a member of the Financial Planning Association of MA (FPA), where he is a past President and Chairman and holds the current position of Liaison with Dana Farber Cancer Institute. This initiative was developed to help patients with pro bono financial advice.  Rick has been quoted in The Wall Street Journal, The Boston Globe, The Boston Herald, The Boston Business Journal. CNBC Marketwatch, Mutual Funds Magazine, Bloomberg News, The Chicago Tribune, Financial Advisor Magazine, Investment News, Improper Bostonian, National Public Radio (NPR), Business Radio 1060 among other publications. He also has participated in the Boston Herald and USA Today Financial Hotlines. Rick has taught at the Massachusetts Continuing Legal Education (MCLE) in Boston on the topics of Long Term Care, Medicaid and Asset Protection strategies. Rick has participated at the Money Conference for Women as a Money Mentor. These conference's are sponsored by the Massachusetts State Treasurers office and provide financial advice for women.

His interests include, spending time with his son and daughter, reading, hiking, biking, exercise, nutrition, stand up comedy, the environment and working on his home. Rick has resided in the Boston area his whole life and can't imagine living anywhere else. (Until the winter hits, that is.)
